Immediate Opening
Warehouse, Shipping & Installation Assistant
We’re Building What’s Next
Steel City Displays is in an active growth phase, and we are currently looking to connect with talented professionals who align with how we work and what we build.
As a custom trade show exhibit design and fabrication partner, we help brands bring their stories to life through custom trade show exhibits, experiential marketing environments, permanent displays, and branded spaces. Our team works across design, fabrication, logistics, and show services to create brand experiences that are strategic, beautifully executed, and built to perform.
Immediate Opening — Warehouse, Shipping & Installation Assistant
Build. Move. Execute. Bring Brands to Life.
Steel City Displays is actively hiring a Warehouse, Shipping & Installation Assistant to support the execution of custom trade show exhibits and branded environments across the country.
This is not a passive warehouse role. This is hands-on, high-impact work at the intersection of trade show logistics, exhibit preparation, and event execution.
We are looking for someone who understands the pace, pressure, and precision of the trade show industry, or comes from a parallel environment (event production, staging, construction, scenic fabrication, AV, or experiential builds), and is ready to step in and contribute immediately.
What You’ll Do
· Manage trade show exhibits in the warehouse with a focus on accuracy and show readiness
· Execute full booth QA and mock setups (structure, graphics, hardware) before shipment
· Pack and coordinate outbound/inbound freight for trade shows, including paperwork and carrier scheduling
· Support convention center dock operations, marshaling yards, and targeted move-ins/move-outs
· Work on-site at trade shows nationwide: installation, dismantle (I&D) supervision, booth assembly, graphics application, troubleshooting, and repacking
· Load/unload trucks, manage exhibit returns, and support post-show inspection, repairs, and inventory tracking
· Collaborate with project managers and install teams to ensure flawless execution on tight timelines
· Maintain warehouse organization, tools, and operational readiness, with the goal of digitizing the inventory
What We Need
· Direct trade show, exhibit, or I&D experience OR relevant experience in event production, staging, construction, installation or similar hands-on industries
· Understanding of show-floor operations, convention center environments, or live event logistics
· Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving ability under pressure
· Comfortable in a fast-paced, physical environment (lifting, building, moving materials)
· Willing and able to travel nationally and work non-traditional hours tied to show schedules
Highly Preferred
· Experience with warehouse systems, inventory management, or digitization efforts
· Strong technology skills (QuickBooks, inventory platforms, digital tracking systems, or similar tools)
· Experience improving warehouse processes, organization, or efficiency through technology
· Forklift/material handling experience
Why This Role Matters
This role is critical to our ability to deliver exceptional client experiences. What happens in the warehouse directly impacts what happens on the show floor.
We are building a more efficient, tech-enabled, and scalable operation, and we need someone who can contribute not only with their hands, but with their mindset
Compensation & Benefits
· $23–$27/hour, based on experience
· Health benefits available
· Some national travel opportunities
· Growth path in trade show operations, logistics, and installation
